Tested, tried and yes...TRUE! We tested this design and have had wrens in front and back yards at the same time. Roof and bottom finely made of 1/2 in. cedar with the ends of 7/8 in. inland cedar. One of the bottom boards can be unscrewed for cleaning. Assembled with rust resistant screws. This house is easy to open for cleaning. The wood is left rough so the birds don't have a hard time holding on to the house when entering and leaving. This perfect wren home has appropriate drainage and vent holes to keep the birds dry and cool. The side pulls up for easy cleaning and the entrance hole has a guard to help keep predators from reaching adult birds and nestlings.
